Every community begins with a purpose. Ours began with a simple belief that girls deserve support, guidance, and space to grow.
Our Story
Redefining Girlhood was created out of a deep desire to support girls during some of the most formative years of their lives. Through years of working in education, mentorship, and youth-centered spaces, Founder Pametra Geer witnessed a growing need for environments where girls could feel seen, heard, and encouraged especially during the years when confidence and identity are still taking shape.
What began as vision, research, and intentional planning evolved into Redefining Girlhood, an organization focused on providing meaningful programs, enrichment experiences, and supportive spaces for girls. As the vision expanded, Pametra partnered with Communications Director Sydney, whose leadership and creative direction help strengthen the organization’s voice and community presence.
Grounded in real-world experience serving children and families in school communities, Redefining Girlhood recognizes that many girls need more than academic support. They need opportunities to explore who they are, develop self-worth, strengthen emotional awareness, and build confidence in who they are becoming.
Today Redefining Girlhood supports girls through empowerment workshops, confidence-building programs, scholarship opportunities, and milestone experiences like our prom dress drive. Each initiative is designed to nurture the whole girl socially, emotionally, and personally.
Redefining Girlhood is more than a program. It is a reminder that girlhood doesn’t have to be rushed, shaped by pressure, or defined by comparison.

Redefining Girlhood primarily serves middle school girls during some of the most formative years of identity development. We create safe and affirming spaces where girls build confidence, form healthy relationships and develop a strong sense of self through mentorship, intentional community, and creative expression.
We also engage high school girls through scholarship opportunities, milestone experiences, and leadership-centered initiatives that support their growth and future aspirations.

Middle School Mentorship & Group Programming
We provide structured mentorship and small-group programming designed to build confidence, strengthen communication, and develop self-awareness during the middle school years.
Workshops & Enrichment Experiences
Through guided workshops and interactive experiences, middle school girls engage in meaningful conversations, creative expression, and activities that support identity development and healthy relationships.
High School Leadership & Milestone Initiatives
We engage high school girls through scholarship opportunities, college tours, prom dress drives, and milestone-centered events that celebrate achievement and encourage leadership and community involvement.
