Becoming Her: The Redefining Girlhood Saturday Experience
For Middle School Girls
About the Program
Becoming Her The Redefining Girlhood Saturday Experience is a monthly in person pilot program designed for middle school girls.
This experience creates intentional affirming spaces where girls build confidence, develop a strong sense of self, form healthy relationships, and explore who they are becoming without pressure or comparison.
Each Saturday session blends mentorship, guided discussions, creative expression, wellness activities, and enrichment experiences. Our programming supports the whole girl emotionally, socially, personally, and academically while fostering connection, curiosity, and growth.
Becoming Her is currently being piloted as Redefining Girlhood prepares to expand into structured after school programming across middle schools in Washington DC.

• Confidence, identity, and leadership workshops
• Creative expression activities
• Academic and life-skills enrichment
• Movement and wellness experiences, such as yoga, dance, fitness, and mindfulness
• Guest speakers and special facilitators
• Reflection, goal setting, and mentorship
Sessions include a blend of:
As the pilot program grows, select sessions may also include educational outings, exposure experiences, and community service opportunities.
Each Becoming Her Saturday experience has a $50 participation fee per session.
Limited scholarships are available for families who may need financial support. We never want cost to be a barrier to a girl’s growth and experience. If the participation fee presents a hardship, we encourage you to still apply and note your interest in scholarship consideration. Scholarships are offered in limited numbers during our pilot phase.
